Will Ultimate Bore Protection (UBP) work on my muzzle brake?
Yes, UBP is the perfect solution to protect nearly any muzzle brake. Ultimate Bore Protection will cover a brake up to 2½ inches long. More importantly, the bullet never touches the UBP because it is blown off the barrel & brake by the firearm’s discharge; gases and pressure.

Just how durable is Ultimate Bore Protection? Will it break when I try to install it on my firearm like similar products I have tried?
It shouldn’t! UBP is 6mil thick, 3-4 times thicker than similar products. By the way, drug store finger cots and similar brand name bore protectors are about 1-2mil thick. We went the extra mile to make the best bore protection for our customers. We may cost a bit more but we have fast become the #1 trusted bore protection in the field among hunters because of our attention to detail.

Will Ultimate Bore Protection work on my muzzleloader?
Yes, UBP will stretch over nearly any muzzle loader’s barrel and front sight. For best results, remove ram rod, unroll UBP fully, place the 1st two fingers from each hand into the UBP stretching it out and then install.

Your website says I can shoot through Ultimate Bore Protection and it won’t affect my accuracy negatively, is that true?
That is correct. You can shoot through UBP and it won’t have any negative POI when shooting at your favorite trophy big game animal. Tests have proven that sealing the muzzle increases accuracy in many popular calibers because the gases and pressure are stabilized inside the barrel.

Note: The bullet never touches the UBP because it is blown off the barrel by the firearm’s discharge, gases and pressure. Tape, on the other hand, doesn’t get blown off, it adheres to the barrel then melts to it or into the brake holes as the bullet heats up barrel and passes through the tape.

Can I remove Ultimate Bore Protection at the end of the day and reuse it?
Yes! We recommend removing UBP on a regular basis depending on the hunting condition. We recommend Alaska hunters remove UBP everyday because of conditions (salt air along the coast and other contingencies). Condensation can form under the UBP and cause discoloring of the barrel, hence removing it regularly and maintaining your firearm should eliminate this.

Can I store my firearms with Ultimate Bore Protection installed?
We don’t recommend it or condone it but if the storage area is a controlled environment—not hot then cold and back and forth or damp—it should have no negative affect on your firearms. We recommend you check your firearms regularly.

Will Ultimate Bore Protection work on my shotgun?
Yes! We haven’t seen a shotgun that UBP won’t stretch over, double barrel, 12 Ga., 20 Ga., etc. Again, unroll UBP fully, place the 1st two fingers from each hand into the UBP stretching it out and then install.
